MP Tourism Board is likely to spurt tourism in the state

MP Tourism BoardBy the decision of the Tourism Cabinet, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) is on its way to provide momentum to tourism activities in the central state by the courtesy of modernization and well-contemplated proposals and strategies.

 
From offering facilities to investors and creating job opportunities, the Board has many accomplishments to its credit comprising registering an imposing presence at the World Travel Mart held in London and sharing information with potential investors at the USTOA in Florida and Fetor at Med rid in Spain and IAME-2018 in Melbourne, Australia with the help of attractive presentations, according to official sources.

 
At the AIME-2018, Madhya Pradesh Tourism was awarded the prestigious Best Exhibitor Award. Side by side, the Board organized impressive road shows and investors’ meets in various key cities of the country.

 
Working under the MPTB, the Investment Promotion Unit (IPU) has productively implemented a well-planned approach thus attracting investment of about Rs700 crore in the tourism sector.

 
A land bank comprising 849.077 hectares of government land has been developed at 144 places in the 49 districts of the MP. In addition, 431.515 hectares of land has been identified at 71 places and the process of its transfer is in progress.

 
Out of the land bank, some land has already been given to seven private groups on a premium of Rs 23.25 cr. A Heritage Property Land Bank has been built for private investment in construction of heritage hotels. Currently, eight properties are in the possession of the department.
