South Korea Joins Wyndham Grand’s Asia Pacific Expansion

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with over 9,100 hotels across 95 countries, has announced the opening of Wyndham Grand Ijin Busan. This 271-room hotel marks the prestigious Wyndham Grand brand’s debut in South Korea. The expansion aligns with the increasing demand for travel to South Korea, which saw international visitors surpassing 1 million for the first time in July 2023, as reported by the Korea Tourism Organization.

According to Ben Schumacher, Vice President of Operations South East Asia & Pacific Rim (SEAPR), Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South Korea offers boundless opportunities for international travellers to immerse themselves in new cultures and explore historic landmarks. He stated, “Introducing Wyndham Grand to Busan not only adds to our growing portfolio in the region, but also unlocks remarkable experiences for guests in a vibrant city with world-class amenities to make their stay special.”

With over 70 Wyndham Grand hotels worldwide, Wyndham Grand Ijin Busan joins recent openings like Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa, and Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town. This addition further enriches Wyndham’s expanding portfolio, which includes more than 1,700 hotels across the Asia Pacific region.

A serene Coastal Getaway Experience
Situated in the second largest city in the nation, Wyndham Grand Ijin Busan boasts 271 rooms with stunning views of the coastline. It offers both local and international cuisine in its many dining options, a rejuvenating spa, a heated indoor pool with stunning views of the Namhang Bridge, and a cutting-edge fitness center.

Situated less than 20 kilometers from Gimhae International Airport, the hotel is ideal for tourists who want to fully immerse themselves in the local way of life. Beach lovers can take in Songdo Beach’s beauty, while others can explore the area’s hidden gems, such as the Songdo Marine Cable Car, the well-known Jagalchi Market, which is Korea’s largest seafood market, and views of the breathtaking Taejongdae National Geopark.
