Four other municipalities set new temperature records for the second-straight year: West Vancouver hit a high of 25 degrees, a full degree higher than the record it set in 2022; Pitt Meadows reached 27.7 degrees, which was 0.7 degrees warmer than the record it set last year; Bella Bella’s high of 23.1 degrees beat the record 19.8 it set in 2022; and Powell River, which hit a high of 23.5 degrees, breaking the record of 23.2 set last year.

Among the other record-high temperatures on Saturday:

Burns Lake: 22.5 degrees (previous record of 22.1 was set in 2012)
