Aiming to transform the ancient port town into a global model of RT centre, the Kerala state government has approved a one-crore investment in the fourth phase of the Responsible Tourism (RT) project in Beypore.
The State RT Mission for Kerala Tourism has already finished the third phase of the Beypore RT Development Project, and the fourth phase is anticipated to be completed by next year.
In a letter issued in Kozhikode on Sunday, Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas stated that the completion of the current Beypore RT Development Project next year will place the port town on the world tourism map. He noted that the administration has previously established March 31, 2024 as the completion date for the fourth phase.
Mr. Riyas stated that the government will combine all of the prominent elements of rural life, local cuisines, and distinct culture to create a worldwide model of RT center, in addition to sponsoring numerous programs such as an international art festival and a weaving festival.
In an endeavor to create carbon-neutral packages, he said that ten lakh rupees had been set aside for the distribution of electric autorickshaws to women through RT Mission groups.
