OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group is happy to announce Geoff Pearson as the designated new general manager of the OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa on Hawaii Island.

Earlier this year, Pearson began working with OUTRIGGER as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Now he has been designated the new general manager of the OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa on Hawaii Island.

Pearson will be in charge of directing the resort’s daily management and operations and work to achieve the resort’s financial goals. His responsibilities will include incorporating cultural components into outstanding guest experiences, cultivating a positive workplace for staff, and actively participating in the
Kailua-Kona community.

Pearson has a plethora of experience in the hospitality sector and was previously associated with OUTRIGGER in 1988 as the hotel manager of the OUTRIGGER Reef Lanais.

Additionally, he worked closely with OUTRIGGER’s corporate, international, and sales and revenue teams, especially while the company was making improvements to its properties. In the course of his career, Pearson has held important positions at hotels such as Halekulani and Halepuna Waikiki as director of sales and marketing, the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel as director of rooms, the St. Regis Princeville Resort on Kauai as front office manager, and the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

“Since joining OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa, Geoff has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, prowess in sales and marketing, and a profound understanding of the hospitality industry,” said Mike Shaff, Senior Vice President of Operations for The Americas.  He further says that his appointment is well-deserved.
