Transparent visibility of opportunities, flexibility in workplace and make use of the opportunities are the three most important actions that companies need to adopt to authorize a more gender inclusive office, as per the inaugural of the study – “Women in the Workplace: Asia” that was conducted by Agoda, the Asia headquartered tech travel company.

In the study, the aforementioned standards ranked above both in terms of pay parity and parental support. This study was conducted among 12,000 people across 10 Asian markets.

While studying of the data emphasizes major differences in opinion by age compared to gender.  Even though the transparent visibility of opportunities positions number one in general, a scrutiny among various age groups shows a difference between 18–24-year-olds where only 38% said that it compared to 49% of those who are over 55 years of age.

Priorities differ across genders, with non-binary respondents most probably to aim on professional and social inclusion and stable representation within senior leadership than other genders as main urgencies for authorization.

The Chief People Officer at Agoda, Eliana Carmel, says that the findings are telling for employers who are keen to recollect quality talent in Asia. Making a culture where people feel professionally and socially valued and respected is supreme.
