Across 21 counties in New Jersey, numerous events are scheduled to celebrate Independence Day, offering a variety of parades and festivities for residents and visitors alike. From small-town celebrations to grand fireworks displays visible from New York and Philadelphia, New Jersey offers a comprehensive list of Fourth of July parades happening on July 4th, 2023.

Atlantic County

In Atlantic County, the city of Northfield will kick off its parade at 10 a.m. The parade route will take participants from Shore Road to Burton Avenue Fire Station via Mill Road. Meanwhile, Smithville will hold its parade at 9 a.m., starting at the Smithville Town Center and proceeding east on Smithville Boulevard to Moss Mill Road before concluding at Historic Smithville.

Paramus

Moving to Bergen County, Paramus will host its parade at 9 a.m., commencing at Century Road and Farview Avenue. Teaneck Township’s parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. from the west end of Queen Anne Road, ending at Votee Park. Ridgewood will hold its 113th annual Celebration and Parade, starting at 10 a.m. from S Monroe and Godwin Avenue.

Burlington County

In Burlington County, Moorestown will start its Fourth of July parade at noon, at the intersection of Chester and E. Central Avenue. Riverton will celebrate its 126th annual Riverton 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m. from the Riverton Yacht Club, proceeding up Main Street and concluding at Riverton Memorial Park.

Cape May City

Cape May City has scheduled its annual Independence Day Parade for July 1 at 1 p.m., along Beach Avenue from Philadelphia Avenue to Patterson Avenue.

Montclair

Montclair Township in Essex County will have an Independence Day parade and community picnic. The parade will start at 11 a.m., following a 1.6-mile route west on Bloomfield Avenue, north on Midland Avenue, continuing to Watchung Avenue, then west to Valley Road, and concluding at Edgemont Park. South Orange Village will also have a parade, although further details are not provided.

Paulsboro

Paulsboro in Gloucester County will hold its 32nd annual Fourth of July parade, starting at 10 a.m. from the Save-A-Lot Plaza on Broad Street. Pitman’s annual Independence Day Parade will begin at 9:55 a.m., starting from Highland Terrace and Lexington Avenue, and turning onto Adams Avenue.

Hunterdon County

Lebanon Borough in Hunterdon County will host its 75th annual Fourth of July parade. The Children’s Parade will start at 9:30 a.m. at Sutton Place, followed by the Main Parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street, concluding at Holjes-Sheppard Memorial Park.

Manasquan

Manasquan in Monmouth County will host its Fourth of July Parade on July 2, starting at 6:30 p.m. from the Manasquan Coast Guard Station. The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association has planned an Independence Day parade on July 1, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Chatham in Morris County

Chatham in Morris County will organize its Independence Day Parade at 9:30 a.m., commencing on Main Street. Florham Park will host its 66th annual July 4th parade at 9 a.m., starting at the Company 1 Fire House.

Ocean County, Barnegat Light

In Ocean County, Barnegat Light will hold its Independence Day parade at 6 p.m. on July 3, starting at West 11th Street. Bay Head will host the fifth annual July 4th Bike Parade at 10:30 a.m.
