Finally, a 10-year old project came to completion in Wyoming County. The Nicholson Tourism Center located at the DL&W Railroad Station is opened now. Through donations and grants, the project was done.
In the area, the landmark has been a staple for over 170 years. For quite some time now, this project has been in progress and many of the loacsl were expecting its grand opening.
The Chairman of the Nicholson Heritage Center, Marion Sweet, said that so many people are keen in the push. It’s astonishing to see how many people just can’t wait to see it getting unlocked so they could see how it looked like now.
Already, many people come through the town to see the Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct. For the locals, it is also known as the Tunkhannock Viaduct or the Nicholson Bridge.
From Tunkhannock, Randy Robinson, was on his way through this town when he saw revamped look of the station. He and his family then took a decision to stop by.
Robinson said that it’s absolutely beautiful to see the way they’ve done it once again. It’s so nice, it is truly genuine. Also, the tourism center expects to attract greater number of people to the downtown.
