Numerous Kansas societies, comprising two in Topeka, are getting money with the help of the 2023 Tourism Marketing Grant Awards Program.
The Kansas Department of Commerce (KDC) said that 22 tourism schemes are getting parts of a $117,780 payment in funding money. The awards are meant to benefit domestic tourism establishments or allures with new or first-time pioneering marketing enterprises.
David Toland, the Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce said that backing tourist allures and
exclusive local occasions in the state presents good business sense. Kansas profits a lot from the $11.2B in
overall financial influence that travel and tourism creates yearly, and the Department of Commerce will carry on delivering advertising support that helps surge that influence.
Submissions to the program were evaluated by a committee of Kansas Tourism officials, in line with the
KDC. The program is dedicated toward increasing travel to tourism places while also increasing the
impression of the state.
