All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and 5-star airline for six consecutive years, is taking steps to meet growing demand in Asia by expanding its routes to include the first direct flight from Japan to Chennai, India.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced the expansion of routes with the first direct flight from Japan to Chennai.
The airline looks to capitalize on massive growth across the region and will start off in winter 2019. This will mark a decisive move towards Asia-Oceania for ANA and the addition of Chennai brings the total number of ANA destinations to 46.
International passenger flights will be a large driver of revenue in 2019 as per ANA. The cities represent vibrant economic hubs that were earlier not served by the Japanese carriers. The short term prospects are good and there might be greater returns in the future.ANA aims to retain market share as the cities grow and turn into a global stage.
ANA General Manager India, Yasuo Taki said that their vision revolves around meeting the needs of today’s consumers and positioning themselves for future success.
The growth potential of Chennai cannot be ignored and nearby cities of Bangalore and Hyderabad. He was looking forward to offer services to Chennai in the days to come.
