Tourism Malaysia to participate IFTM-Top Race 2023

Tourism Malaysia announces its participation in the 2023 edition of the IFTM-Top Race. This event is the unmissable meeting of tourism professionals to exchange information on new trends, challenges and the future of the industry.

Tourism Malaysia aims this year to strengthen its presence among French travel experts and passionate travelers. L’ONT invites all professionals to immerse themselves in the captivating sphere of ecotourism, which positions Malaysia at the head of travel destinations plus responsible.

Malaysia reopened its borders last April, and to support this dynamic, Tourism Malaysia actively participates in professional salons such as l’IFTM-Top Resa. An indispensable rendezvous, conducive to meetings and constructive exchanges between representatives of tourism in Malaysia and French buyers.

Visitors to the stand of Malaysia will have the opportunity to discover the peculiarities that make this country unique within the world ecotourism, offering a fusion of nature, adventure and sustainable heritage traditions that create an ultimate travel experience.

La Malaise is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna as well as some of the oldest tropical forests. It is recognized as one of the 12 pays megadiversity in the world. Its diverse ecosystems, ranging from tropical virgin forests to vibrant coral reefs, offer a wide range of ecological experiences. The country counts seven national geoparks, Langkawi and the park of Kinabalu having obtained the status of World Geopark of l’UNESCO.

Other actors referring to the tourism industry in Malaysia will be exposed alongside the ONT, including Asian Trails Malaysia, Bamboo Adventure, Berjaya Hotels and Resorts, Destination Explore, Malai Adventure, Malaysia Airlines, Solidarity Association for Travel & Tours Agency Malaysia (SAFTTA) et Pro-Eco Adventures. This initiative is aligned with the national policy of tourism in Malaysia, while placing emphasis on the promotion of ecotourism as a key growth segment for the country’s tourist industry.

This participation aims to increase interest and awareness of what distinguishes Malaysia as a destination, offering travel professionals and explorers access to rich natural wonders and perspectives on ecotourism.

On Stand D73, visitors are invited to take part in a quiz to name three eco-destinations in Malaysia presented in the video “Soul of Malaysia.” The winner will receive a round-trip plane ticket in economy class London-Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines and a luxurious stay of 3 days/2 nights with breakfast at the hotel The RuMa Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur.
