On West Maui, majority of restrictions related to tourism are about to come to an end on October, after the Gov. of Hawai’i, Josh Green’s Emergency Proclamation was signed on Friday.
From Oct. 8th, the direction disheartening luxury travel to West Maui will be stopped, as per the proclamation.
The officials of Hawaii had disheartened tourism to the effected areas of Maui as relief efforts and search crews were ongoing after a strong wildfire happened that took at least 115 lives of the people.
Green stated that as of Friday, around 66 people remain unaccounted for an important decline from previous reports.
Before, tourists have been requested to visit the islands and parts of it that were not affected by the wildfire, even though northwestern coast hotels provisionally had stopped accepting prior reservations.
Areas set to open once again are Kapalua and Kaanapali, two beach towns where a huge section of the hotel rooms of the island are located.
The historic town, Lahaina, got destroyed by the wildfire. Green said last week that it will not be open and traffic will be stopped.
In Maui, tourism which acts as a financial backbone declined after the experts discouraged leisure travel strongly.
