Around 1,000 Yoga aficionados organized a huge event in Nepal’s Pokhara for encouraging traditional Indian fitness, on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
The event had Sudan Kirati, the tourism minister of Nepal along with the Indian Ambassador Naveen
Srivastava. It aimed on upholding tourism tapping the potential of the Indian market.
Surendra Raj Pandey, the chief minister of Nepal’s Gandaki area also took part in the event held at the
Rangashala ground of Pokhara, which witnessed a considerable number of Yoga fans.
The event going on for more than an hour was held by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, in cooperation with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
Sudan Kirati said that to practice Yoga in the midst of nature, Indian tourists are invited to Pokhara. There is is possibly no equivalent loveliness similar to Nepal. On International Yoga Day, all Indian tourists are invited to visit Pokhara and get fascinated by its unlimited natural splendor.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu held a same event on Tuesday for upholding Yoga on the grounds of
Lumbini, the place of birth of Gautam Buddha.
Wednesday’s event was the second one held by the Embassy for boosting Yoga along with tourist
attractions in this Himalayan country surrounded by land.
