Flash floods in various parts of India have resulted in tourists giving a miss to several places in Karnataka
where there is further precipitation. Nevertheless, temple tourism is performing positive in Karnataka.

For travelers, arranging holidays in the course of monsoon for staying at a cosy place and watching the
rainfall in Karnataka has been popular for several years now. In spite of that, this year, monsoon tourism has been affected severely with flash floods occurring in diverse parts of India have making tourists evade
places where there is added downpour. A typical 60% decline in visitors has been witnessed by tour operators in reservations during monsoons this year.

Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru along with other areas in the Malenadu belt were generally visited by tourists
throughout this spell of the year. Considering the condition in Himachal Pradesh along with few other
states, it is quite natural that tourists would feel apprehensive and avoid visiting these states.
