To celebrate the addition of new routes to Beijing Daxing, Fukuoka, Phuket, and Nagoya this year, Hong Kong Airlines is holding a mega event at Causeway Bay’s Fashion Walk from 26 to 27 August. Over 1,000 economy class tickets, sponsored by the ‘World of Winners’ campaign under Hong Kong International Airport, will be given away free to the Hong Kong public.
Members of the public who are interested in participating have to register in advance as Futuate Wings Club (FWC) members on the Hong Kong Airlines website or mobile APP. They can queue up in person at the Fashion Walk Atrium on the morning of 26 & 27 August to get their quota tags, which will be distributed from 9AM on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those who have obtained a quota tag will be able to participate in the ‘Gacha’ game and register for ticket redemption during designated times on the same afternoon. As the number of flight tickets distributed for each destination varies, Hong Kong Airlines will announce the distribution schedule for the respective destinations on Company’s Facebook on 23 August to facilitate the public choosing their participating slots. Ticket winners will also receive a discount code for their fellow companions to enjoy cash discounts on air tickets to any destination.
In addition to the four new destinations launched this year, the free tickets will also cover other popular travel destinations such as Bali, Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, Okinawa, Tokyo, Osaka, Hokkaido, Beijing (Capital), Chongqing, Haikou, Sanya, Shanghai (Hongqiao), and Shanghai (Pudong).
To add fun to the event, there will be a photo corner where children can dress up as flight attendants and pilots and take photos with Hong Kong Airlines cabin crew! The outdoor area next to Fashion Walk on Paterson Street will be transformed into a runway with giant figurines representing the four new destinations, which have been specially designed by local popular illustrator Jane Lee.
The event is supported by the Airport Authority Hong Kong, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Hong Kong Office) and Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport. During the two-day event, representatives from both regions will present traditional Thai dances and Ninja performances, share the latest travel information and distribute gifts to participants. To thank Hang Lung Properties Limited for their venue sponsorship of the event, HKA will present an additional 20 sets of free tickets to members of the hello Hang Lung Malls Rewards Program.
These include two sets of round-trip business class tickets to Sapporo and the remaining 18 sets of round-trip economy class tickets to Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Okinawa, Seoul, Bangkok, Phuket, and Taipei.
