WTTC started-off its 23rd Global Summit in Kigali

As the 23rd Global Summit of WTTC started-off today in Kigali, Ms. Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO, disclosed that the global Travel & Tourism sector is making a strong revival, bouncing back to the robustness of 2019.


The recent information from WTTC and its partner, Oxford Economics, shows that slowly international travel is coming back to its original form with all regions improving faster than what was expected earlier, with Asia-Pacific leading the way.


While sharing her thoughts in Kigali at the opening of the Global Summit, Ms. Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO said that their recent information emphasizes the enduring appeal and resilience of the sector and is recuperating at a faster rate than what was hoped.


This trend underscores the longstanding penchant for travel of the consumers, and in spite of the full retrieval potential of China is yet to be appreciated, the sector’s performance worldwide is surpassing the expectations.


The Newest Sector Sustainability Figures Also Uncovered WTTC lately introduced the recent data related to industry-shaping Environmental Impact Research in collaboration with the Sustainable Tourism Global Center, part of the Tourism Ministry of Saudi Arabia.


During the WTTC Global Summit in Riyadh in 2022, the two organizations introduced the partnership and revealed the opening results comprising the accurate greenhouse gas emissions of the sector for the first time ever.
