The tourism and the creative economy must be made the most of to guarantee sustainable growth that thinks about public interests, said Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Tourism and Creative Economy Minister. In his recent virtual address, he made this statement at the Archipelagic and Island States Blue Economy High-Level Dialogue which revolved around the subject -“Forging A New Era of Sustainable Growth”. As a side event of the AIS Forum Summit 2023, it was organized on Oct. 9 in Nusa Dua, Bali. The incorporation of creative economy and tourism is key, said minister Sandiaga.
The Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, toward this end, has presented numerous policies and programs to endorse the realization of high-quality tourism, most prominently, sustainable. The main policies comprise decreasing carbon emissions and safeguarding culture, natural resources, and local
traditions.
In the meantime, the growth of the creative economy mainly aims on innovation, creative spaces, and firming up a strong guard in terms of intellectual property.
They have many tourism polytechnics that offer education and training to boost communities with abilities and skills that help sustainable practices, the minister continued. Also, Sandiaga requested all parties to carry on innovating and partnering to aim on their long-term vision.
