Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) inaugurates in Qatar

With support of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Qatar, the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) inaugurated on the 5 th of this month showcasing an amazing observance for the first time in Qatar. The occasion displayed important international car reveals, setting an exciting beginning to the automotive week forward.

The dignified inauguration event was also graced by the presence by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin
Hamad Al Thani, the Minister of Interior, the Chairman of Qatar Tourism, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker
along with other notable personalities. Among other respected guests, there were numerous ministers,
diplomats and senior representatives.

Qatar Airways, the authorized airline partner of GIMS, displayed a smart booth greeting bigwigs to the area.

Organized in association with Qatar Tourism, GIMS showcases the newest industry novelties and more
than 30 launches from global and local brands comprising Toyota, Porsche, Lexus, Lamborghini,
Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, McLaren, KIA and Mercedes-Benz among many others. The presentation is dotted with 31 international motor brands happening from 5-14 October 2023 at the Doha Exhibition and
Convention Centre (DECC).

In the course of the inauguration formality, earlier England football captain and Manchester United player
David Beckham visited the Qatar Airways booth. He explored the Qatar Airways and Formula 1® simulator, the pioneering QVerse station and eminent and prized Qsuite.
