Wow Air will fly on new route – UK to Vancouver from June 2019

wowair-planeWow Air to fly on  a new route that connects UK with Vancouver, Canada, in Summer 2019.

 

It will be the first Icelandic airline to offer low-cost, long-haul flight on this route.

 

The first flight will depart on 6th June, 2019 from London Gatwick Airport and reach Vancouver International Airport, via Reykjavík. The flight time from Reykjavik to Vancouver International Airport will be around seven hours 55 minutes. The total journey time from London Gatwick to Vancouver International Airport will be approximate 14 hours, including stopover.

 

Wow Air will fly its A321neo aircraft six times per week, from June-October 2019.

 

Skúli Mogensen, chief executive of Wow Air, said that now they have three destinations in the route network in Canada – Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. He adds that Wow Air’s flight on this route will provide opportunities to travellers who want to fly on budget.

 

Nestled amidst snow wrapped mountains, blue waters, and natural beauty, Vancouver has been a popular tourism destination for holidaymakers. Whether it is a wildlife lover or a nature admirer Vancouver is an adventurer’s paradise form one and all.

 

Stanley Park, set over 1,000 acres, offers a mix of dense forest, formal gardens and beaches overlooking the Pacific. Wildlife lovers can discover grey whales, sea otters, grizzly bears, bald eagles and puffins on the Vancouver Island.

 

Given the popularity of Vancouver as a tourist destination, the low cost Wow Air flight will help attract more tourists to Vancouver, Canada from UK.
